Connect via API or bring your AI assistant
Access our launches through a REST API or link an AI assistant via MCP to search, read and manage listings.
Updated
Technical access
We offer two routes into Seen Here First for developers and AI systems. The REST API at /api/v1 follows OpenAPI 3.1 standards; the full specification is at /api/v1/openapi.json. Alternatively, connect an AI assistant—Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client—to our remote MCP server at /mcp.
What you can do
Both methods let you search our launches and read full listing details. If you authenticate with your account, you gain further permissions: your AI assistant can draft new listings and manage existing ones on your behalf. Voting is not available through either API or MCP.
Signing in
Authenticate using OAuth (your assistant will direct you to our sign-in page) or with a personal API key. Generate keys at /account/developers. Keys display only once; we store only a hash. Keep yours secure.
Rates and payments
Rate limits and daily quotas apply to all API requests. Any transaction triggers a checkout link returned by the API; you complete payment here on Seen Here First. This ensures all billing runs through our site, never through a third party.

Questions people ask
- Can I manage my listings from another app?
- Yes. Authenticate your AI assistant or application via OAuth or API key, and it can draft and update your listings with permission. Payments and voting remain on Seen Here First only.
- Do I need to choose between API and MCP?
- No. Both methods are available to you. Use the REST API for direct integration, or connect an AI assistant over MCP for natural interaction. Pick what suits your workflow.
- What happens if I exceed the rate limit?
- Requests beyond your quota will be refused. Check /developers for current limits and daily quotas that apply to your key.
