The cover is the Featured launch—a paid spot in the Featured spot on the homepage, labelled Featured, for 7 days. It costs $19. This is a paid placement only: it carries no vote, and it does not affect any ranking or leaderboard.
How to buy it
Any listing that is live or booked into a launch week can be featured. You can buy The cover when you submit your listing on the plan step, or afterwards by signing in and opening /account/listings. Select "Upgrades and extras" next to your listing. Current pricing appears on the Pricing page at /pricing.
When your cover begins
If your listing is already live, your 7 days start immediately upon payment. For a launch booked in a later week, the days begin on the Monday of that week, when your listing goes live. If you buy The cover again while it is running, a fresh 7 days start after the current run finishes. Should you reschedule your launch week, your featured period moves with it.
What The cover is not
The cover stands apart from sponsorships (the Sponsored slots, detailed at /sponsor), the billboard (paid ranking by contribution), and community votes. These are separate offerings and cannot be exchanged.
