How it started
Neil Lock's company, Zinn Digital®, is the platform he is building at zinndigital.com. Neil was a child when he started on the family farm's computer systems, the Commodore 64 and the ZX Spectrum, and he was about twenty when technology became his profession. His more than 25 years of building software, search and hosting come together with his AI work in one product, Zinn Digital®.
The idea
The platform puts hosting and SEO together, and puts AI first in both. One dashboard covers hosting, domains, SEO tools and a services marketplace, in the customer's own language and currency.
What he is building
The hosting comes in two forms: Footprint-Free Hosting for SEOs and Mainstream Hosting for managed WordPress, WooCommerce, PHP, static and Node sites. Zinn Digital® is the operator, not a reseller: it builds, tunes and owns the infrastructure end to end. A proactive firewall and malware scanning watch every site, and each one runs in its own kernel-level cage. For speed, smart auto-purge coordinates a LiteSpeed full-page cache, a per-site Redis object cache and the CDN edge. A 24/7 AI support agent that Neil built has real functions, and developers get a spec-first API, generated SDKs, a CLI, a Terraform provider, signed webhooks and an MCP server. Reseller and agency hosting runs under the customer's own brand.
What's next
The platform is designed, from its first line, to scale beyond a million sites.
