How the Product review works and where to order it
The Product review is a paid, long-form assessment written from your public site. It lives on its own page and never affects votes or rankings.

The review itself
When you commission a Product review ($19), you receive a substantial, standalone piece written after we read your home page, about section, pricing, features, FAQ, documentation and listing. We write only from what your pages say—nothing is added or guessed. The review is honest: it sets out both strengths and limits.
The review carries no stars. Instead it moves through key takeaways, several sections on what matters to a buyer, a pros and cons section, who the product suits, a check of what your pages state on six areas (what it does, who it is for, pricing, getting started, trust and security, company and contact details), questions a buyer might raise, a verdict, and the sources we drew from.
Where it appears
Your Product review has its own page at /launch/<listing>/product-review. A short extract appears on your main listing page in a block marked 'Product review' and labelled 'Commissioned by the maker'. The listing's reviews page shows the summary and key takeaways. It stays separate from community reviews at all times.
Rankings and votes
The Product review never counts towards votes, ratings or leaderboard position. Rankings here rest on votes and, on the billboard, on funds contributed—never on any review, commissioned or otherwise. Community reviews from other founders sit apart and work separately.
If your website is unreachable
If your site cannot be accessed when we try to read it, we retry. Should it remain down, the review is held and our team assesses whether to write it from your listing alone, and if they do, the review states this plainly.
How to order
Add it when you pick a paid launch plan, or for an existing listing: sign in at /account/listings, find 'Upgrades and extras' next to your listing and select 'Order the Product review'. The price is shown on /pricing.

Questions people ask
- Does the Product review affect how my listing ranks?
- No. Rankings come from votes and (on the billboard) funds contributed, not from reviews. The Product review never changes your leaderboard position.
- Can I edit the review after you publish it?
- No. The review is commissioned by you but written by us. We write from your public pages and your listing, and you cannot alter the finished piece.
- What if my website is down when you try to read it?
- We try again several times. If your site stays unreachable, the review is held for our team; if they write it from your listing alone, the text says so.
