The review
Found a product worth discussing? Write a review. You'll need to be signed in, have confirmed your email and maintain a live listing of your own. Each product can be reviewed once by you, and your review needs at least 80 characters. It goes live straight away.
The founder can post one public reply beneath your review. They can edit or delete it anytime, and you'll be notified when they first respond.
First-look product reviews
Seen Here First brings its in-depth Product reviews together at /reviews; the footer's "First looks" link appears once there is one. Each was commissioned and paid for by the maker, wears that label and cannot be edited by the maker. Community first looks stay on each launch's page.
Conversation and moderation
Any signed-in visitor with a confirmed email can comment on a launch or reply to other comments. Reports work across all community contributions: use the Report link on a listing, review, reply or comment. When 3 different people report a review or comment, it's hidden pending our review. Listings are checked by our team but never hidden automatically.
Following and signals
Follow a founder, company or product using the Follow button. You'll see their news in your notices—control frequency at /account/notifications. All company updates appear on their listing and collected at /updates.
Sharing is built in: each launch has a share page with ready-to-paste text for X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Reddit, Threads, WhatsApp and email, plus a copy-link button.
Influence
Active participation earns influence: writing reviews and comments, receiving votes on your own launches, and signing in regularly. Influence cannot be bought, only earned. Higher levels can give your votes greater weight. Check your level at /account/influence.
Questions people ask
- Can I review a product I've launched?
- No. You need your own live listing to review, but you cannot review your own product. You can review each other product once.
- What happens if someone reports my review?
- If 3 people report it, it's hidden while our team looks at it.
- How do I build influence?
- Contribute: write reviews and comments, collect votes on your launches, and visit regularly. Influence can only be earned, not purchased. Your current level is at /account/influence.
