How we count votes on Seen Here First
Cast your vote to signal discovery. The rules ensure every voice in our community carries genuine weight.

Casting your vote
To vote on a launch, you need a confirmed email address. Once you're signed in, each listing receives one vote from you—a single, deliberate gesture of discovery. Live launches only; archived products sit beyond the frame.
You can vote freely for any launch but your own, until you've cast a vote for someone else's work. After that threshold, your own launch becomes voteable by you. This small rule keeps the edit honest.
How we protect the count
Occasional human checks appear to validate participation. Rate limits—both hourly and daily—prevent mechanical abuse. Should suspicious activity cluster around a launch, those votes pause in the review queue until verified.
Votes remain genuine
Community votes sit entirely separate from our paid ranking options, verification badges, and technical data like Domain Rating. Each system is clearly marked. Payment never touches vote counts. What does matter: active members of this community gradually earn influence, which can lend their vote additional weight over time. Discovery here is earned, not purchased.
Questions people ask
- Can I vote for my own launch?
- Not until you've voted for someone else's launch first. After that, you're welcome to vote for your own work.
- What if I spot suspicious voting activity?
- Rate limits and human checks catch abuse patterns. Suspicious bursts are held for review and won't count until verified.
- Do votes cost money?
- No. Votes are purely community-driven. Paid ranking, verification, and voting are entirely separate systems.
