How does the billboard ranking work?
The billboard is a paid leaderboard separate from community votes. You choose your contribution amount to appear on it.

The billboard is a leaderboard of its own at /leaderboards/billboard, ordered by money contributed. It is labelled as a paid ranking, so visitors know what they are seeing.
Your contribution
You set the amount in US dollars, with a minimum of $5. Contributions add up: each new contribution is added to what your listing has already contributed. Everyone who has contributed stays on the board, ordered by total.
How to add a contribution
From your account you can contribute once your listing is live. Sign in and open /account/listings, then choose "Upgrades and extras" next to the listing. Enter your contribution under Billboard. You can also add it during submission, on the plan step.
Separate systems
The billboard is distinct from community votes, Launch of the Week, verification and Domain Rating. Each system is labelled separately. A billboard contribution does not buy a vote or change any other ranking. Promo codes do not reduce what you contribute.
A followed link to your website, for life
Every company on the billboard is linked from /leaderboards/billboard to its own website, with the company name as the link text. The link is followed (no nofollow). It stays for life, also when newer contributors move ahead of you. It is removed only if the listing is taken down for breaking our rules, or if the contribution is refunded.
